The 43-year-old blonde said: "I'm not against plastic surgery, what I've had done will stay with me and that's fine, but I don't want anything else. I'll do facials but I don't want to go down the scary route and have knives plunged into me."

She added: "I don't mind aging. I've never been a classical beauty. I've always had that Playboy vibe. I don't want to chase youth. Anyway, I find it chases me.....Read More

MARTIAL LAW UK

UK police chief Sir Paul Stephenson is considering whether to ask the British government to ban protest marches altogether in response to last week’s student riots, a move that would place Britain under a de facto state of martial law.It is one of the tactics we will look at and something we will keep under review, and if we think it is the right thing to do then we will do it, said the Metropolitan Police commissioner.NUS president Aaron Porter responded: Peaceful protest is an integral part of our heritage and it is the responsibility of the police to help facilitate that.Although the establishment media in Britain dutifully blamed the protesters for the violent scenes witnessed during the demonstrations, it later emerged that police had been behind a number of provocations that caused the running street battles, including pulling a disabled man out of a wheelchair and dragging him across the street, as well as repeatedly beating protesters on the head with batons. The use of kettling to confine protesters into a tight area has also been heavily criticized for only heightening rage amongst the demonstrators.......Read More

A Terrible Performance on a Good Day

A Terrible Performance on a Good Day:About fifteen minutes before kickoff of the Bears versus Patriots debacle in the amazing setting that was a snowy Soldier Field, the Lions beat the Green Bay Packers and handed our Wisconsin rivals their second loss in the NFC North. As I walked over to to meet Shady and Noah at our seats in Section 120 I heard not one but several fans utter the same phrase. "That makes this game meaningless now." To a certain extent, that sentiment was true and the Chicago Bears certainly played like it. (Side note: Shady did the bloggers quite proud yesterday. A good, good dude.)

Yesterday's game against the New England Patriots did not mean anything in terms of breaking ties for a division crown or wild card appearance. Yesterday was an opportunity to see if the Bears were elite. And guess what? They're not. This is not a doomsday moment, not the end of the world. The Bears don't have to beat the Patriots to make it to Dallas in February. They'll have to beat Atlanta or New Orleans or Philadelphia. Each of those games could go either way, depending on location and whether Mr. Smith has decided to prepare his defense that week. (Apparently he was unaware the Pats like to throw underneath Wes Welker and the tight ends and thinks you should run man-coverage with no time left in the half. Seriously Lovie...way to mail that one in.) The Bears are as good as any team in their conference. They are not as good as the best team in the NFL.......Read More

My dad would be proud of record breaker Fergie

My dad would be proud of record breaker Fergie:Sir Matt Busby's son knows exactly how his father would respond to Sir Alex Ferguson overtaking him as Manchester United’s longest-serving boss.

“If he were here now my dad would hold a gun to Alex’s head and make him sign a new contract for another five years,” said Sandy Busby.

“He would be so proud of what Alex has achieved for United and I know he couldn’t think of a better man to succeed him as the club’s longest-serving manager.”

Fergie will reach that remarkable landmark on Sunday when United play Chelsea, passing Sir Matt’s longevity in the club’s record books almost a quarter of a century since arriving at Old Trafford.....Read More

Metrodome Roof Collapsed

Metrodome Roof Collapsed:The Pittsburgh Steelers won a huge game last week on the road in Baltimore, beating the Ravens in the Blood & Guts Bowl 13-10 in a great defensive battle. This week, they have to guard against a letdown at home as the 2-10 Cincinnati Bengals come to Heinz Field. The Bengals have had a very disappointing season, but they’d like nothing better than to catch the Steelers napping. However, the Steelers also know that they have to win out to keep the Ravens from taking back the lead in the division, and they have a tough game next week against the Jets — which means they have to get wins. Look for a lot of Mendenhall and the running game and some big-time defensive plays from Pittsburgh to win this one, 28-13.....Read more

Beads of Courage

Beads of Courage:Jean Baruch is a remarkable nurse who understands how to help children with serious illness become Healthy Survivors.

While working on her PhD at the University of Arizona School of Nursing, Baruch sought a practical yet meaningful way to acknowledge the many challenges children face and overcome while dealing with serious illness. After in-depth research of the medical and psychosocial literatures, she came up with Beads of Courage.

Children make bead necklaces, where each bead represents one challenge they've overcome. So, for example, a white bead represents a chemo treatment and a red bead a transfusion. Children have beads for losing their hair, having surgery, undergoing bone-marrow biopsies, and so on....Read more

Kristen Bell in Alberta Ferretti

Kristen Bell in Alberta Ferretti:Burlesque heavy-hitters Cher, Christina Aguilera and Kristen Bell were in Madrid, Spain on Thursday for the premiere of their splashy, sequin-heavy musical. The film's leading ladies opted for flash—Cher hit the red carpet in a completely sheer top, while Aguilera sizzled in Dolce & Gabbana—but it was supporting player Kristen Bell who had the most classic look.

Bell was beautiful in a black tulle minidress with a sheer embellished yoke. Pale pink lips, a soft, asymmetrical updo and Amrapali's stately gold and diamond earrings pulled together her premiere look, which was completed with a pair of simple black platform pumps......Read more

Winona Ryder

Winona Ryder is not what you would call a big fan of the Internet. In fact, the 39-year-old actress says she doesn't even use it.

"I don’t use the Internet, but apparently you can find out everything on it,” says Ryder in the January issue of Elle magazine. "I have my e-mail on my BlackBerry, and that’s about it. I’ve never read a blog, ever."

She even recently recieved an iPad from director Ron Howard, but she's never used. Nor does she enjoy watching movie trailers online. "I feel like it’s taking away that great anticipation of seeing a movie. It used to be you’d hear, like, Al Pacino was making a movie, and you wouldn’t know anything about it. And nowadays, you know it all, like how much [the actors] are being paid. I would hate to see a picture of me and the caption reads, ‘Is she worth it?’....Read More

Santacon Redux Fear the Beard

How did you spend last weekend's Santacon? Did you suffer Santaphobia? (A medical term for an abnormal, persistent fear of Father Christmas.)

I went and covered the event for Playboy and found a multitude of bad Santas.

Walking elbow-to-elbow down Polk Street, like the first men on the moon, a flood of Santas erupted on the public.

As the beer and alcohol flowed so did the Santas' bladders. A line of St. Nicks formed outside of restrooms while the urinals were occupied by Father Christmases and his numerous doppelgangers who had to pee worse than Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen.......Read more
