Tsunami warning extended to much of Pacific region, but not to U.S. West Coast

Tsunami warning Officials extended the warning of possible tsunami after a 8.8 earthquake in Japan, and large areas of the Pacific, but not in California and the west coast of the United States and Canada.
The recent announcement covers Japan, Russia and many countries of Asia and the Pacific including the islands of Hawaii, and many South American countries such as Central and Chile, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru and Colombia.
The Tsunami Warning Center Pacific and will be issued a new warning as more information becomes available.
In Hawaii, and officials expect a wave can be up to Hawaii at the time of 02:59 (4:59 PT).
Is not included, California, Alaska, Washington, Oregon and British Columbia in the notice.
