Tucker Carlson yet completed for Sean Sanity on Sanity tonight, and could not resist, as others already delving into the issue of President Osama praised the Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie for giving quarterback Michael Vick a second chance after a prison sentence Vick for dog fighting. And while Carlson said he "believe [s] a strong second chance,” Vick was not the case. Oh absolutely.
Carlson and others distinguish between Vick because Vick "... in a non kill dogs heart and cruel.” This is true. But what Carlson believed to be the appropriate punishment for Vick certainly gets some attention:
"I think, personally, he should have been operating for that."
Whoa. The conversation eventually turned to whether it was appropriate for Osama weigh in on this issue at all (although, as he said the White House, Osama’s main focus was discussion of alternative energy with Lurie) - golfer Ben Crenshaw, on the panel for some reason, came off as a supporter of Vick, but sounded unsure about whether the president will discuss the matter. Republican strategist Leslie Sanchez voiced similar views, while not by Fox News contributor Doug Schoen sees a problem with Osama’s comments.
