Sinister new Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows posters revealed as fans prepare for release of final movie

By SARAH BULL

Sinister: Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry Potter, is seen here in a new poster for the upcoming movie Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part Two

Harry Potter fans are literally chomping at the bit waiting for the release of the final movie in the franchise.

And it seems the final instalment of the last book in the series, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part Two, could be the darkest yet, judging by three new posters of the film released today.

Harry Potter, played by Daniel Radcliffe, Hermione Granger, played by Emma Watson and Ron Weasley, played by Rupert Grint, are seen covered in dirt and blood as they pose in front of burning buildings in the new pictures.

Bearing the tagline 'It All Ends', the posters look dramatic, adult and incredibly final.

Readers of author J.K. Rowling's books will know how the story ends, but fans of the films are sure to want to see how the last book is translated onto the big screen.

The new film sees the saga of the boy wizard and his chums come to a climax after a decade on the big screen.

Darkest film yet: Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) and Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) stand in front of burning buildings in the posters

The story tells of Harry's final battle with his nemesis Lord Voldemort after he, Ron and Hermione have travelled the world to search for seven Horcruxes - the parts of the evil overlord's soul which have been hidden and which have to be destroyed in order to kill him.

As usual the film features a stellar cast including Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Tom Felton, Ralph Fiennes, Brendan Gleeson, Richard Griffiths, John Hurt, Jason Isaacs, Helen McCrory, Bill Nighy, Miranda Richardson and Alan Rickman.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 follows on from the first part of the film, which opened in cinemas last November.

Final battle: Radcliffe and Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort face off in a scene from the trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2

That's magic: The boy wizard uses his wand in his final battle - but who will survive?

And the premiere of the upcoming film, the final Potter movie to be made, will be the first red carpet movie event to take place in London's Trafalgar Square.

Studio bosses at Warner Bros decided that the franchise and its stars have become so popular that the usual Leicester Square venue was no longer big enough for the gala event.

Talking about the movie in a recent interview, producer David Heyman said fans will be excited to see the final 3D version of the film.

Heart-rending: Amid the rubble, Ron Weasley, played by Rupert Grint, looks on as Hermione, played by Emma Watson, hugs Harry

There be monsters: A fire breathing creature is also thrown into the mix of what promises to be a spectacular finale

He said: 'Funnily enough I think this last film will benefit more from the 3D than the first one would have. It‘s more epic and operatic.

'The first one was a more intimate film so 3D didn’t feel as germane.'

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part Two is released in the UK on 15th July.

You might need a bigger scanner there Jack! A rotund looking Black goes through LAX security

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Hands up: Jack Black goes through a full body scan at LAX airport last night

He may voice a lithe Kung Fu expert in his latest movie, but Jack Black was looking a little out of shape as he headed through security at LAX airport last night.

The 41-year-old comic actor held up his hands and stood in front of the body scanner, in a pose which revealed his rather rotund figure.

And when he turned round, he showed the back of his T-shirt emblazoned with the slogan reading 'Pie 'N Burger,' revealing his fondness for the fatty foods.

The father of two was heading to New York for the east coast premiere of Kung Fu Panda 2, in which he reprises the voice of martial arts panda Po.

Jack also promoted the film in Los Angeles on Saturday, alongside co-stars Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu and Seth Rogen.

The star may have been looking a little rotund, but he showed he still has plenty of energy this morning on the film's red carpet.

All smiles: The actor looked his usual relaxed self as he headed towards the security checkpoint, clutching his laptop

He wowed onlookers by taking a few leaps on the red carpet outside the city's Ziegfeld Theatre and demonstrated his own martial arts style moves.

The 3D film explores Po's adoption and who his real father is.

'Those answers are explained,' Jack told USA Today. 'It takes it to a real emotional place that we didn't in the first film.'

Taking a leap: Jack showed off his energetic side as he demonstrated his Kung Fu skills at the New York premiere of Kung Fu Panda last night

'At first, I wasn't really into it,' he said. 'But then they showed me a clip of panda Po synced to my voice from High Fidelity, and it clicked in my head.

Like "That totally makes sense. My voice in that panda is going to be a funny movie."'

And Jack, who was joined by co-star Lucy Liu on the carpet today, is hoping to do a third instalment.

'I’d love to do more Kung Fu Panda, but it’s up to the audience to demand that,' he said.

Fooling around: Jack played up to the cameras by lolling on the floor and performing press ups

Keep it up: Jack kicked a toy panda around as she showed off his bear skills on the carpet

Sneak peek: Jamie Bell voices the intrepid reporter as Steven Spielberg brings Tintin to the big screen

By DAILY MAIL REPORTER

Leaping off the page: Jamie Bell voices intrepid reporter Tintin in the long-awaited film adaptation of the Herge book series

Having bought the film rights to Tintin 28 years ago, Steven Spielberg's big screen vision of the stories has been a long time coming.

But for fans of the intrepid reporter, they've been given a hint of things to come as the first trailer for the Tintin movie was released online.

A one minute trailer of The Adventures Of Tintin: Secret Of The Unicorn - the first in a proposed trilogy of Tintin movies - premiered online ahead of its release in December.

Trusty sidekick: Tintin gets a helping hand from his pet dog Snowy as he fights an enemy

The motion-capture animated film sees Spielberg returning to the director's chair with Lord Of The Rings' Peter Jackson producing.

Hoping to stay faithful to Tintin creator Herge, aka George Remi's, memory, Spielberg enlisted Edgar Wright, Doctor Who scribe Steven Moffat and Joe Cornish to helm the script.

Providing the voice of the adventurer is Billy Elliot star Jamie Bell, with Daniel Craig as the nefarious Red Rackham.

We've got our eyes on you: Simon Pegg and Nick Frost voice bumbling detectives Thomson and Thompson

Of course, Tintin's escapades wouldn't be complete without his trusty canine sidekick Snowy.

The cast is predominantly British with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost playing bumbling detectives Thomson and Thompson.

Andy Serkis - who famously was captured on motion capture to play Gollum in Lord Of The Rings - voices Tintin's best friend Captain Haddock, while The Office star Mackenzie Crook voices a smuggler.

Giving chase: Tintin is on the hunt for a good story

Little is being given away about the plotline with only fleeting glimpses of the characters in the trailer.

The trailer opens with Tintin carrying a torch searching an empty room as a voiceover warns 'I don't think you realise this, but you're about to walk into a whole mess of danger.'

A shadowy Tintin is seen lifting a dust sheet off a display box - what it contains is unclear - as he tells Snowy: 'Look at this...'

Follow that boy: Thomson and Thompson give chase

As Tintin is heard asking: 'A unicorn... what secrets do you hold?' we are given a quick look at Thomson and Thompson - spotted spying on Tintin through holes in a newspaper.

As a voice is heard saying 'how could you let them escape?', Tintin is seen punching a man in the face as he tries to flee a boat cabin.

In snapshots of scenes a plane is seen crashing in the desert, Tintin is seen chasing someone in a blue car and a pirate ship tries to navigate a stormy sea.

Danger: A plane is seen crashing into pieces in the desert

Spielberg said: 'We are going to make three Tintin movies back-to-back. I'll direct the first one, Peter will direct the second one. We'll probably co-direct the third one.'

Over 200 million copies of the Tintin books have been sold worldwide since they were first published as a comic strip in 1929.

The books have been translated into 70 languages.

Penelope Cruz on dream job with Pirates Of The Caribbean star

By JODY THOMPSON

Firm friends: Penelope Cruz, seen here with Johnny Depp at the Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides premiere in Los Angeles last week, said he's always making her laugh

Spanish beauty Penelope Cruz has revealed that she only knew two phrases in English when she moved to the U.S. to try and make it in the movies - and one of them was 'I want to work with Johnny Depp'.

The star, who turned 37 last month, revealed that it was her dream to work with the 47-year-old star - and that the only other English words she knew when she arrived in Hollywood were 'How are you?'

Penelope, who was born in a suburb of Madrid, first worked with Johnny a decade ago in movie Blow and they have remained close friends ever since - so she explained she jumped at the chance to work with him again on Pirates of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

On set: Johnny, Penelope and Ian McShane in a still from the forthcoming new movie

She explained: 'When I first came to America I only knew two phrases in English. One was, "How are you?" and the other was, "I want to work with Johnny Depp."

'Then after I worked with him on Blow, I learned how to say, "I want to work with Johnny Depp again!" He’s very addictive and he just gets better and better over the years.'

Shiver me timbers: Penelope plays Angelica in the movie, an old flame of Johnny's Captain Jack Sparrow, and the daughter of Ian McShane's Blackbeard

However, she explained there was a slight problem with working with him again - trying not to laugh during shooting.

She told the Mirror: 'The only problem is he has a very peculiar sense of humour – and even though I know all his tricks, he can still crack me up.

'I can’t stop laughing when we are working so we had a few problems on the set. One time we were stuck for two hours and couldn’t finish the scene because we couldn’t stop laughing.'

Avast me hearties! Huge banners advertising Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides went up on the facade of the Carlon Hotel in Cannes ahead of the 64th Cannes Film Festival this month

Oscar-winner Penelope also revealed that they have a shared love of animated comedy show South Park - and Johnny created a fancy dress outfit based on the show's Mr Hanky The Christmas Poo that she had to wear as a forfeit on set.

Penelope laughed: 'Johnny made this outfit for me and we had a bet which I lost. And I had to wear the Poo outfit on the set.

Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides opens in cinemas on May 18.
