He's just 17 years old, but as a world-famous pop star Justin Bieber has seen more of the world than men twice his age.

And as he frolicked on the beach in Maui with his young starlet girlfriend, Disney star Selena Gomez, 18, with her arms and legs wrapped around him, he certainly seemed older than his years.

The baby faced singer has been enjoying a romantic vacation with Selena, staying in a $10,000 a night suite at the Four Seasons Hotel - apparently without the supervision of their parents, or minders.

Justin took charge of the jetski, powering through the waves as his girlfriend clung to his waist at one point tenderly placing her hands on his shoulders.

The pairing of two such teen stars is a publicist's dream. But while they are reportedly being supervised by their parents - they made sure to stay out of shot so as not to spoil the stunning pictures.

While on the parasail - which had a rather fitting smiley face design on it - they took their relationship to dizzying new heights.

The couple are reportedly staying in an exclusive $10,000-a-night suite at the Four Seasons resort.

According to website Hollywood Life: 'The pair are in the Maile Suite, a luxury palace on the seventh floor of the resort.

'The signature of the three bedroom suite is floor-to-ceiling windows which allow a magnificent ocean view.'

The suite, which they're sharing with their parents, has three bedrooms and five beds.

Special features include a 50-inch flat-screen television with DVD player, a stereo with CD player and a music and movie library, a marble master bathroom with a deep soaking tub with whirlpool and a separate eucalyptus rain shower.

The couple can also enjoy romantic meals in the elegant dining room which features an adjoining butler's kitchen. They also have their own 24-hour personal concierge.

Whether the youngsters are allowed to share a bed together is unknown, although with Justin being a minor it's doubtful their parents would allow such a thing.

However, Justin and Selena's time on the beach appears to be completely unsupervised.

At no point during their romantic day together did there seem to be any elders present - aside from their parasail ride of course.

The teens apparently spent most of their time together without minders or their parents.

But the holiday isn't all romance for the youngsters - both are accompanied by their parents, who were elsewhere as they enjoyed their trip to the beach.

As Justin cavorted with Selena, he revealed his two tattoos.

One, on his stomach, is the outline of the seagull from Jonathan Livingston Seagull, a tattoo he had done to match his father and uncle and mark his 16th birthday.

The other, on his torso, is in Hebrew.

As Bieber is aged under 18 he needed parental permission to get his tattoos.

He and Selena only went completely public with their romance at the Billboard Music Awards show in Las Vegas last weekend - sharing kisses and hugs in the audience.

The young lovebirds smooched as Justin dominated the star-studded ceremony last weekend.

Selena appeared to be making a good impression on her boyfriend's family, as she sat with her arm around Justin's mother, Pattie Mallette.

She was, however, notably absent from her boyfriend's two acceptance speeches.

He thanked his family, his fans, manager Scooter Braun and Usher - who signed the youngster to his record label and turned him into a superstar.

The young couple made up for their awkward moment as the former YouTube sensation was named the top new artist of the year.

Justin leaned in for a passionate kiss with his girlfriend and Selena beamed with delight as she watched her boyfriend on stage.

The Canadian pop sensation thanked 'God' as he picked up his second award and paid tribute to his proud mother.

Justin also won awards for top pop album, top streaming artist, top song and top social media artist.

Replaced: Cheryl Cole has been sacked from the U.S. version of X Factor, with former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger taking her place


Cheryl Cole has been sacked from the U.S. version of the X Factor and replaced by former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, it has been claimed.

Scherzinger will now sit in the British singer's place on the judging panel, alongside Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Paula Abdul, reportsU.S. website TMZ.

The 32-year-old had been due to co-host the show with British presenter Steve Jones when it launches in September.


Despite her success in Europe with her band Girls Aloud, Cole, 27, remains an unknown in the U.S.

Reports blamed her strong Geordie accent for her dismissal, saying it had proved impossible for the American audience to decipher.

Cole has already sat in on auditions in Los Angeles and Chicago, telling the audience 'You might have to bear with me on the accent.'

Experienced: Scherzinger had previously replaced Cole on the UK X Factor when she was seriously ill with malaria


Just last week Cowell appeared confident that America was embracing his protégé, who quit her job on the British X Factor panel to make her name Stateside.

'The audience seemed to warm to Cheryl,' he said. 'No problems with the understanding, from what we’ve heard.'

Although Cheryl had secured a £1.2million-a-year contract to appear on the U.S. X Factor, producers included a get-out clause so they could drop her after the first series if she failed to win over viewers.

The news will come as a blow to Cole, who had hinted she was considering making the U.S. her permanent home following her high-profile divorce from footballer Ashley Cole last year.

When asked if she was considering buying a home in Los Angeles she told the MailOnline last month: ‘Watch this space.’

One person who will not be surprised is Sharon Osbourne.

When Cole's role on the show was announced the former UK X Factor judge said: 'Cheryl’s perfect for England - she’s the nation’s sweetheart and they absolutely love her.

'But over here it’s Nicole’s town. You have to think of the audience and most of them would never have heard of Girls Aloud.

'Nicole’s great TV, has a huge following here in the States and people absolutely love her. Plus she’s beautiful and talented.'

This will not be the first time Scherzinger, the girlfriend of British racing driver Lewis Hamilton, has worked as an X Factor judge.

She was brought in to replace Dannii Minogue on the UK X Factor last year while the Australian singer was on maternity leave.

Cowell then brought Scherzinger back onto the UK X Factor judging panel to replace Cole when she was seriously ill with malaria last year.

At the time there were press reports that Cole was furious with the decision and even texted Simon asking: ‘Why did you get her?’

Calls to the U.S. X Factor were not returned.
