Robert Redford Crashes Allotment Society Bash!

ROBERT Redford reportedly crashed an allotment society’s village bash.
The actor left villagers stunned when he walked in on an allotment owners’ regular pub meeting last Sunday night.
The shocked gardeners had been at the Ferry Boat Inn in Thorganby, near York, discussing the latest vegetable trends when the Sundance Kid star walked in, according to Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper.
Chris Thackray, from the Wheldrake Allotment Society, was one of the regulars who noticed the film legend.
“He was sat in the corner and I spotted him straight away,” he said.
“My only worry about whether it was actually him was ‘does he have an American accent? ‘but there was no question about it.
“Nobody bothered him while he was in the pub, it was all very British and we left him alone “Everyone in the pub recognized him and left him alone — if it had been Hollywood he would have been mobbed.”
Redford is in the UK launching a four-day festival in London based on the Sundance Film Festival which he runs in the United States.
Robert recently insisted he hasn’t quit Hollywood.
“I say, ‘Hey, I’d like to be in that movie,’ and they say, ‘would you? You’re kidding’,” he said.
“something is happening over the years that makes a lot of people think that I don’t do this anymore, when the truth is, it’s what I enjoy most.”
