How to Find Unclaimed Money (and Unclaimed Property)

And July 21 was the fifteenth anniversary of the death of my father. He died of cancer at the age of 49, just ten days shy of his birthday session.

Was discovered when my father died, and the wealth of the poor. Apart from the box, personal business (which, admittedly, was not "simple"), and succeeded in every home with $ 5000 in income from life insurance to leave, and that's about it. And personal financial skills were not great, and included estate planning.

More than ten years after his death, however, I was contacted by a company in the state of Florida. "We have an annual," said Lee.

"What is retirement? Asked. They pointed out that my father is an account opened for me in 1977 when I was only eight years old, and announced at once to the account, and then forget about it. As for the last 30 years and over, the account is earning interest only. Balance now $ 438.79.

Now I know about this account, I can cash through a copy of the death certificate of my father. But it was before the company disclosed below, a classic case of money not claimed by one.
What is money not claimed by one?

In most (all?) Are identified, banks, utilities, insurance companies and investment firms - with many other companies along - Accounts inactive for more than one country. This is known as accounts "Lost" and "left" or "not claimed by a property." They contain money not claimed by one.

Unclaimed property, one could include things like:

    * Forgot your savings accounts
    Not paid their salaries *
    * Security is not required
    * Gift certificates are not being used (in some places, of course)
    * The contents of the safe
    * Investments, including stocks, mutual funds

When this property is legitimate, "left" and handed over to the government, which acts as a server so that steps forward to the rightful owner to claim it. Until then, most countries use the proceeds (and interest earned on the unclaimed funds) to assist in the activities of the Fund.

If you can prove that you are the rightful owner of some abandoned property, you may require. Free.
